What is the Festival of the Future?
This exciting event will showcase the diverse pathways into careers within the built environment, offering students aged 0–25 an opportunity to:
- Explore Key Milestones in Education: From sparking early inspiration in primary school to GCSE and A-level guidance, apprenticeships, and university preparation.
- Participate in Creative Workshops and Talks: Hands-on activities, debates, and interactive sessions led by leading professionals in architecture and design.
- Gain Valuable Insights: Learn about internships, work placements, and career opportunities from renowned organisations such as Black Females in Architecture, Matt + Fiona, Open City’s Accelerate programme, and more.

The Festival of the Future is a unique opportunity for students to imagine themselves shaping the cities of tomorrow. With input from industry leaders such as Heatherwick Studio, AHMM, and Woods Bagot, Museum of London & The Barbican Centre, students will be equipped to consider their potential impact on the built environment.

If your students/young people would like to attend the festival independently they can sign up via the RIBA Festival Page here. Places are limited, so we encourage early registration to secure your students’ participation, particularly for Friday.
